This tool supports multiple languages, including Dutch and English, and allows you to build a personal library of words that won’t be flagged as errors.

Installing the Language Tool Extension:

Below, we explain how you can add the LanguageTool extension to Chrome or Edge.

Installing LanguageTool for Chrome

  1. Find the Extension: Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for "LanguageTool."

  2. Install the Extension: Click on "Add to Chrome" to download and install the extension automatically.

  3. Pin the Extension: After installation, click the puzzle icon near the search bar, then pin the LanguageTool icon for quick access.

  4. Using LanguageTool: Open the Newsifier editor and start typing. Spelling and grammar mistakes will be underlined. Click on the LanguageTool dialog to view and correct any issues.

Installing LanguageTool for Microsoft Edge

  1. Find the Extension: Visit the Edge Add-ons page and search for "LanguageTool."

  2. Install the Extension: Click “Get” to download and install the extension.

  3. Access the Extension: After installation, the LanguageTool icon will appear next to the search bar.
