Introduction

Newsifier makes it easy to share your articles across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Linkinbio, Web Push, Mobile App Push, and Telegram. This guide will walk you through setting up social sharing, selecting platforms, and customizing your posts.

1. Setting Up Social Sharing

Before you can start sharing articles, you need to connect your social media accounts. Follow these steps to configure your social sharing options:

  1. Go to General Settings:

    • In the General menu, select Settings and then navigate to the Share tab.

  2. Connect Social Media Accounts:

    • Click the blue Connect Social button. You will be taken to Ayrshare page where you can connect your social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, Telegram).

    • Follow the instructions to authenticate each platform, giving Newsifier permission to post content on your behalf.

Once your accounts are connected, you can share your articles across any of these platforms.

2. Selecting Social Platforms for Sharing

When you’re ready to publish your article, you can select the platforms on which it will be shared on the right side of the editor.

Selecting Platforms

In the Share section of the editor, you’ll find checkboxes for each connected platform. To share your article on a specific platform, simply check the box:

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

  • X (Twitter)

  • Telegram

  • Linkinbio

  • Web Push

  • Mobile App Push Notification

If you don’t want to share the article on a certain platform, leave its checkbox unchecked.

Immediate or Scheduled Sharing

You can either share the article at the moment of publishing or schedule both the article and social media posts for a later time:

  • Immediate Sharing: If you want to share the article on social media as soon as it is published, make sure the relevant platform checkboxes are selected.

  • Delayed Sharing: You can choose to delay social media sharing by specifying a time delay in hours or minutes from the article’s publication.

Setting Default Social Media Platforms

It is also possible to set certain social media platforms to be selected by default whenever you create a new article. This is particularly useful if you consistently share to the same platforms.

How to Enable Default Sharing:

  1. Go to General Settings:

    • In the General menu, select Settings and then navigate to the Share tab.

  2. Enable Default Social Sharing:

    • In the section labeled Enabled Social Sharing (Default Selected), type in the social media networks you want to be automatically selected by default when sharing an article (e.g., Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram).

    • Once set, the share checkboxes for these platforms will always be selected.

This ensures that your preferred social networks are always selected without you needing to manually check the boxes each time you publish.

3. Customizing Social Media Posts

After selecting the social platforms, you can customize how the post will appear on social media. By default, the article’s headline will be used as the Social Media Headline, but you can modify it if needed.

Social Media Headline

  • The Social Media Headline can be edited by clicking on the designated field in the right-hand panel of the editor.

  • The same headline will be used across all platforms, as individual customization for each platform is not available.

Adding a Caption

From the social sharing options, you can also customize the Caption that will appear with your post on social media platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), and others:

  • Default Caption: By default, the article headline will be used as the caption for the post.

  • Customizing the Caption: If you want to use a different caption, you can check the Customize Text option and write a unique caption for your post.

Main Image for Social Media

  • Default Image: The article's Main Image will automatically be used when sharing the article on social media.

• Customizing the Image: If you’d like to use a different image, you can modify it directly in the social sharing options.

4. Resharing an Article After Publication

If you want to reshare an article that has already been published, Newsifier makes this easy:

  • Reshare Option: Simply go back to the article editor and click on the link labeled "Repost" located below the checkbox of the social media platform you want to share it on.

  • This allows you to boost the article again across the connected platforms without needing to rewrite or republish the article.

5. Tracking the Performance of Shared Articles

You can track the performance of your shared articles on the Social Media Analytics page within the CMS. You can access this page by navigating to the Analytics section in the main menu.

Performance Metrics

In the Social Media Analytics page, you can view the following key metrics related to your shared articles:

  • Clicks: The number of times users clicked on your article link from social media platforms.

  • Likes: The total number of likes received on the social media post.

  • Comments: The number of comments users have made on your post.

  • Shares: The number of times the post has been shared by others.

FAQ

  1. Why hasn’t my article been posted on social media?

If your article hasn’t been posted on social media, it could be due to an error during the sharing process.

Solution: To resolve this, go to the Social Posts page in the admin panel. This page lists all articles shared on social media and shows their status. If the article wasn’t posted, you’ll see a Failed status along with an error message.

    • Review the error message to understand the issue.

    • Once the issue is resolved, try reposting the article.
