  1. Navigate to the Newsfeed Dashboard https://news-feed.testifier.nl/.

  2. Login using the provided credentials.

Adding Your Website to the Newsfeed Service

To connect your website to the Newsfeed service, follow these steps:

  • In the top menu bar, click on Websites.

  • If your website is not listed, click Add Website.

  • Fill in the following details:

    • Domain: Enter your website's domain (e.g., example.com), without http:// or https://.

    • Platform: Keep this set to Newsifier.

    • Language: Select the language of your website.

    • Tenant ID: This should match your domain.

    • Dashboard Domain: Enter your dashboard domain (without http:// or https://).

    • Newsifier Token:

      • To retrieve the token, go to the Newsifier CMS Dashboard.

      • Click Start Page > Admin User.

      • On the Overview page, find Copy API Token, click it, and paste it into the Newsfeed Dashboard.

    • Click Submit to save the information.

Adding Feeds to the Newsfeed Service

To connect an RSS feed to your Newsfeed:

  1. Navigate to Feeds:

    • Click Feeds in the top menu bar.

    • Click Add Feed.

  2. Configure the Feed:

    • Name: Provide a name for the feed.

    • Group: Select a group from the dropdown.

    • Is Active: Choose Yes to activate the feed.

    • Skip Extract: Select No unless you want to exclude content extraction.

    • URL: Enter the URL of the RSS feed that will be used to fetch articles.

  3. Save the Feed:

    • Click Submit.

Important: Ensure you enter the correct RSS feed URL, not just the homepage URL of website.
For example, an RSS feed URL typically ends in .xml (e.g., https://example.com/feed.xml), whereas a regular website URL (e.g., https://example.com) will not work and may cause errors.
If the wrong URL is added, the system won't be able to fetch articles, and no content will appear.

Assigning Views to Your Website

Views help determine how articles are processed from feeds. To assign views:

  1. Navigate to Views:

    • In the top menu bar, click on Views.

    • Click Add View.

  2. Configure the View:

    • Name: Enter a name for the view.

    • Exclude Words: (Optional) Enter words to exclude from articles.

    • Include Words: (Optional) Specify words that must be included.

    • Feeds: Select the feed that should be used for this view.

  3. Add the View:

    • Click Submit to save your settings.

Assigning Feeds to Views

After adding a feed, it needs to be assigned to a view:

  1. Go to Views:

    • Select the view you created earlier.

    • Click Assign New.

  2. Attach the Website to the View:

    • In the Websites dropdown, select your website.

    • Configure additional options:

      • Auto-Publish: Choose Yes to publish articles automatically, or No to save as drafts.

      • Article Status: Select Published or Draft.

      • Category Slug: Enter the category slug where the articles should be assigned.

      • Author Name: Assign an author (e.g., admin or another user in the system).

      • Skip Rewrite: Choose Yes to keep the original content, or No to allow rewriting.

      • Writing Style: Enter any preferred writing style (e.g., easy to read).

  3. Save the View Assignment:

    • Click Submit.

Once everything is set up, your website will start receiving new articles from the connected feed automatically.

Changing the AI Model for the News Feed

You can choose which AI model processes the news feed. You have the option to select between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. The AI model you select determines how the news feed is generated.

To change the AI model:

  1. Go to your profile in the Newsifier admin panel.

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

  3. Find the "Update AI Model" section and select either GPT-3.5 or GPT-4.

  4. Save your changes to apply the new model.

πŸ’‘ Important: Switching to GPT-4 will increase costs, as your fees depend on the AI model in use. Be sure to check the cost implications before making any changes.

Confirmation

Once these steps are complete, your website should now be successfully added to the Newsfeed service. If you don’t see it listed under Views, double-check that you entered all details correctly.
