Introduction
Live blogging is a great way to provide real-time updates on ongoing events, such as sports matches, political debates, or breaking news. This feature allows publishers to add dynamic content to an article while keeping readers engaged with fresh, time-stamped updates.
The Live Blog feature in Newsifier lets you seamlessly integrate live updates into an article, ensuring your audience stays informed without needing to refresh the page.
Adding a Live Blog to Your Article
To add a Live Blog to an article, follow these steps:
Open the Article Editor:
Navigate to the article editing page in Newsifier.
Click on the Live Blog icon in the article widget or toolbar.
Insert the Live Blog Block:
Once you select the Live Blog option, a new section will be inserted into your article.
This section appears within the article content where you placed it.
Activate the Live Blog:
On the right-hand side of the article editor, locate the Live Blog settings.
Enable the Live Blog by selecting it from the available options.
Save your article.
Access the Live Blog Management Page:
After saving, navigate to the Type field within the article editor.
Click on the provided link to access the Live Blog Management Page, where you can add and manage updates.
Managing Live Blog Content
Once the Live Blog is active, you can add updates to it:
Add a Title and Content:
On the left side of the Live Blog management page, enter a title for the Live Blog.
In the editor, add the content. You can format it using text, images, headings, quotes, tables, lists, HTML code, and embeds.
Pinning Updates to the Top:
If a specific update needs to remain visible at the top of the list, check the Pin to Top option.
Save the blog entry, and it will be highlighted at the top of the Live Blog.
Publishing Updates:
Updates will appear instantly on the article’s front end.
New updates are briefly highlighted in yellow to notify users of fresh content.
Editing and Managing Live Blog Entries
You can view all added blocks on the right-hand side of the Live Blog management page.
Updates can be edited or deleted at any time.
The system supports unlimited updates, allowing you to add as many as needed.
Pagination and User Experience
The Live Blog will display 10 updates per page on the front end.
A 'Load More' button allows users to view additional updates without leaving the page.
