The footer is an essential part of your website — it’s where you can include your logo, important navigation links, legal pages, and social media icons. In Newsifier, setting up the footer is simple, but it’s important to understand the different components you can customize. This guide will walk you through the setup process step by step.
1. Displaying Your Website Logo in the Footer
By default, the logo used in the footer is the main logo you’ve set for your website. However, if your main logo doesn't look good in the footer (for example, if both the logo and footer background are dark), you can request Newsifier support to change the footer logo to the dark logo version that suits the background better.
2. Adding Menus to the Footer
Newsifier allows you to include two types of menus in the footer:
A. Sitemap Menu
The footer sitemap is also displayed in the footer (above the footer menu). It can be used to display links to the website's main pages. A good footer sitemap is vital for SEO. It creates many important backlinks from the front page to the website's main pages.
B. Footer Menu
The footer menu appears at the very bottom of every page. It is typically used to add menu items such as Terms and Conditions, About Us, Contact, and Privacy.

3. Adding Custom Text in the Footer
You can add a short text section to your footer, such as a brief message, company tagline, or copyright notice.
Steps:
Go to Settings > General Layout in your Newsifier dashboard.
Scroll down to the Footer Content section.
Enter the desired text.
📝 The text will appear between the logo and social icons depending on your site’s template.
4. Setting Up Social Media Icons
To display your social media icons in the footer:
Steps:
Go to Settings > Social Media.
Add the social media accounts you want to link.
Save your changes.
🛠️ Troubleshooting:
If the social icons do not appear after setting them up, you may need to contact Newsifier support to enable them for your template.
