Introduction
Newsifier gives clients all around the world the ability to configure their own time zone settings. This ensures that article and comment times display correctly based on your location or the location relevant to your website’s audience.
By default, Newsifier uses the Netherlands time zone. If you want to adjust the time zone or how dates and times appear on your site, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Change the Time Zone of Your Website
Log in to your CMS.
In the left-hand menu, click on
General
.Then select the
Other
tab.Scroll down to find the
Time Zone
setting.Click the dropdown and select the time zone that matches your target audience or your website’s location.
The selected time zone will affect how times appear on:
Published articles
Article comments
Step 2: Customize How Dates and Times Are Displayed
In your CMS, go to the
Settings
section again.Now select the
Layout
tab.Find the
Date/Time Display
tile.
Here, you can choose how you want dates and times to appear across your website. There are three options:
Option 1: Full Date and Time
Shows the complete date and time.
Example:
24-06-2025 11:56
Option 2: Time Only
If the article is published today, it will only show the time.
If it's older than today, it will show both date and time.
Example:
at 12:00
Option 3: Relative Time
Displays how long ago something was posted.
If it's older than today, it will show both date and time.
Example:
2 hours ago
