Introduction

If you're trying to paste content (like tables or formatted text) into the editor from Word or another source, and it’s not working, your browser may be blocking clipboard access.

To fix this, you need to allow clipboard permission for the CMS. Follow the steps below.

What You Need to Know First

  • Copying plain text usually works without issues.

  • ⚠️ Copying images or some advanced formatting from Word may not work.

  • 🔐 Clipboard permission must be granted for best copy-paste results (especially for tables and formatting).

How to Enable Clipboard Permission

  1. Open your CMS in Google Chrome (or the browser you're using).
    Make sure you're logged in.

  2. Click the setting icon 🔒 in the address bar (next to the website URL).

  3. In the dropdown that appears, click on “Site settings”.

  4. A new tab will open with all the permissions for the site.
    Scroll down to find “Clipboard”.

  5. In the Clipboard setting, choose “Allow” from the dropdown.

  6. Go back to your CMS tab and refresh the page.

  7. Try copying and pasting again.

You can follow the example in the screenshot below:

💡 Tip: The screenshot shows what it looks like in Google Chrome. If you’re using another browser, the steps may look slightly different.

Still Not Working?

  • Make sure your browser is up to date.

  • Try using Google Chrome if you're experiencing issues in another browser.

  • Double-check that your clipboard setting is set to “Allow”, not “Ask” or “Block”.

  • Restart the browser after making changes.
