Introduction
If your website recently moved to Newsifier and you used to comment with Disqus, you can restore access to your old Disqus account by resetting your password.
Follow the steps below
On the website, click Profile Icon to open the login popup.
Inside the login popup, click Account recovery.
You’ll be redirected to our Account Recovery page. On that page, click the Click Here button to continue to Disqus and start the recovery process.
After you grant permission, the Account Recovery page will show an email field. Enter the email address linked to your Disqus account. and click "Retrieve the email" button.
After you submit your email, you’ll see a confirmation message saying your email address has been retrieved.
Next, check your inbox for an email to set a new password. Once you’ve reset your password, you can log in using your email address
After you reset your password, you may be redirected back to the website automatically.
Log in again on the website
Go back to the website and open the Login popup.
Log in using your email address and the new password you just set.
You should now be logged in and able to comment again.
Troubleshooting
I didn’t receive the email
Double-check you entered the correct email address.
Check Spam/Junk/Promotions folders.
Wait a couple of minutes and try again.
I don’t remember which email I used for Disqus
Try the email addresses you commonly use.
If none of them work, contact Newsifier Support and we’ll help you restore access.
The password reset link doesn’t work
Request a new reset email and use the latest link you receive.
