Introduction
The Forum feature helps you build a stronger connection with your readers. It gives them a space to talk, ask questions, and share opinions β not just on your articles, but around wider topics too.
Forums are great if you want:
A place for readers to talk about your articles
A discussion space for topics that donβt fit into a single article
To build a stronger community around your content\
How to Activate the Forum Feature
Before using forums, you need to activate the feature in your settings.
Go to Settings β Moderation & Comments.
Find Forum feature.
Select Yes to enable it.
Click Save.
π Once you activate the forum feature, a new Forums option will appear in your left menu under Community.
Create the Main Forum Page
To display all the forums on your website, you need to create a Forum page.
Go to Pages in your dashboard.
Click Add Page.
Choose Page Type: Forum.
Set the slug (URL) you want, like
/forumsor/community.Save the page.
β Important: After you create the page, contact the Newsifier support team. We will set up the forum layout for you.

How to Create a Forum
Once youβve activated the feature and created the main page, you can start creating forum topics.
Go to Forums under Community.
Click Add Forum at the top right.
Fill in the forum form with the following fields:
Field | Description |
Title | The name of your forum topic (e.g. "Your Thoughts on the Budget") |
Content | Write the forum message β you can use text, headings, polls, and images (just like when writing an article) |
Main Image (optional) | Shown at the top of the forum page |
Tags (optional) | Help categorize the forum |
Meta Title & Description (optional) | Used for search engines (can be left empty) |
Author | Choose who the forum appears to be published by |
Status | Set to:

Published |
|
Publish Date & Time | Schedule the forum to go live at a later time, or publish it immediately |
4. When ready, click Save.
How Forums Are Displayed on Your Website
On the forum list page (the one you created earlier), all forums are shown automatically.
Each forum displays:
Title
Publish date
Number of comments
The list is ordered by latest activity, meaning the forum with the most recent comment will appear first.
Publishing & Visibility Rules
Published = No β The forum is not visible to users and will return a 404 error until published.
Published = Yes β The forum appears in the list and can be visited.
Status = Closed β Visitors can still read old comments but cannot add new ones.
Status = Open β Visitors can write new comments.
You can change the publish status and forum content at any time.
